Duplicate Title with Lien Release:
- Legacy Process: In the legacy system, if a customer was submitting their lien release and requesting a duplicate (replacement) title, staff would perform a Duplicate Title transaction and release the lien within the Duplicate Title transaction.
- New Process: In MNDRIVE, if a customer is submitting their lien release and requesting a duplicate (replacement) title, the Add/Remove Liens transaction will be processed and the user will need to select the option for the customer to receive a duplicate title. A high priority Title Review case will be created for DVS approval of the replacement Title.
Note: If the customer wishes to remove the lien and get a clean title, it must be printed centrally and mailed to them; it cannot be printed in office.
When processing a duplicate title, you print the title before scanning the control number. This will help if you have multiple duplicate titles.
After entering the payment amount you can click Quick Print and to print. Then you can click the new transaction to add the control number.
