Many dealers have switched to using the e-services portal to fill out PS2000’s and issue 60 day permits to their customers. If the dealer you are working with has issued the PS2000 from e-services it will have a barcode at the top. Here are the steps:
1. Click on your “Service Manager” and open a new day
2. Click on the “Search Pre-apps” hyperlink in the upper right corner
3. Select “Vehicle Title Application & Permit” from the drop down menu in the “Application Type” field
4. Scan the barcode into the “Confirmation Number” field and then click on the “Search” Hyperlink in the upper right hand corner.
This will bring you right into the transaction and almost all the fields (excluding the inventory section) will already be filled out.
Many offices are encouraging their dealers to utilize the e-services portal. It saves their office a lot of time processing applications. Also dealers should no longer write out 21 day permits after the new year. In order for them to issue 21 day permits after the 1st of January they must use the e-services portal to do so. They will print the permits on the same backing paper that is used by the deputy registrars.
